Courses in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management:

 

BACE4E8B 71DD 402B 9CE5 1525F9A913591 day: Introduction to Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management for self care - health and wellbeing. 

1 day: Introduction to Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management for practitioners. 

3 days: Basic Intensive Workshop in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management. This includes membership of WGI-UK and is the first step towards accreditation as a certified practitioner (CTRTC). 

Basic and Advanced Practicum in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management:

Courses involving a combination of approaches to study including distance learning, self study, set practical work, reading and other assignments and group meetings. Steps 2 and 4 of the 5 steps required to becoming accredited as a certified practitioner (CTRTC).

 

Courses on the impact of trauma:

deliveryHalf day: Introduction to an understanding of the impact  of trauma, including that caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) 

1 day: Introduction to an understanding of the impact  of trauma, including that caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how to apply this understanding to become Trauma Informed in practice for self care and in relationships with others. 

Courses on self care:

Half day: Self Care for you Improve your health and wellbeing by learning some knowledge and understanding and some practical regulating tools for reducing the impact of stress. Why do nutrition, hydration, sleep, exercise, meditation and healthy relationships help? 

1 day: Self care for you 2: Improve your health and wellbeing by learning some knowledge and understanding and some practical regulating tools for reducing the impact of stress, following by a focus on self management in the relationships in your life (applicable to work or personal life). 

 

Courses on counselling and counselling skills:

1 Day: Introduction to working with people therapeutically: This includes knowledge and understanding and an opportunity to develop skills which are needed for working supportively with people in any professional setting. This includes relationship building topics such as communication and listening skills, boundaries and the environment, managing difficult conversations, self care and supervision. 

Half Day: Introduction to the person centred approach: This includes knowledge and understanding and an opportunity to develop skills which are needed for working supportively with people in any professional setting. 

1 Day: Introduction to Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy: Develop your knowledge and understanding of these methodologies and learn some tools that you can integrate into your approach in your working relationships. 

Half day: Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: Develop your knowledge and understanding of this methodology and learn some tools that you can integrate into your approach in your working relationships. 

1 Day Course: Introduction to training delivery: This includes knowledge and understanding and an opportunity to develop skills which are needed for facilitating and delivering training in any setting. This includes an exploration of the key concepts of training delivery including learning styles and presentation methods and practical skills to take forwards and use. Ideal if you have little or no experience of training delivery. 

Courses related to alcohol and other drugs:

Half Day: Alcohol awareness: Develop your knowledge and understanding of the impact of alcohol from the perspective of an alcohol counsellor. 

1 Day: Alcohol awareness and relevant tools to use as a practitioner: Develop your knowledge and understanding of the impact of alcohol from the perspective of an alcohol counsellor followed by practical skills to use as a worker to support people with behavioural change with clients who identify as having a problem with alcohol.  

Half Day: Drug awareness: Develop your knowledge and understanding of the impact of all drugs (other than alcohol). 

1 Day: Drug awareness and relevant tools to use as a practitioner: Develop your knowledge and understanding of the impact of all drugs (other than alcohol) followed by practical skills to use as a worker to support people with behavioural change with clients who identify as having a problem.

Courses specific to the workplace, school and other educational environments and for sports players, teams and organisations:

1 Day: Working with others effectively as part of a team. 

1 Day: Developing yourself as a leader (with a small or capital L). 

1 Day: Choice Theory in the workplace. 

1 Day: Choice Theory in the classroom.  

1 Day: Experiential learning and other learning styles - an exploration and some practical skills.
